World Nutella Day

About World Nutella Day

Date: Celebrated annually on February 5

World Nutella Day
Not much beats that chocolaty hazelnut spread we savor on everything from bread, fruit, crackers and crepes.
You can even try it with just a serviceable metal spoon or, if you’re really stuck, a finger will do.
The world’s love of Nutella can be celebrated on February 5, otherwise known as World Nutella Day.
The delicious spread comes from the Piedmont region of Italy, an area known for the production of hazelnuts. Pietro Ferrero, an Alba bakery owner, started his world-famous recipe back in the mid 1940s but the product was sold as a solid block. Ferrero began selling a creamy version in 1951 and by 1963 the spread was revamped and renamed Nutella.
